20 Classic Sports Posters We Can't Believe Are Real

There was a magical and bizarre time we like to call the '80s and '90s. It was a time when nothing was too outlandish or over the top if you were a famous athlete.... especially if you were a famous athlete. Don't believe us? Check out these amazing posters we remember from our childhood. Honestly, we thought we'd dreamt these. To our surprise, we were wrong.

My old roommate had a Greg Maddux "Mad Dog" poster.. Had a huge bull dog in the background with Maddux trying to look bad ass.. didn't work. I begged him to take it down but it was to funny everytime you saw it

These are far from "bizarre." More "canonical." Iceman poster belongs in Smithsonian. Have ess-loads of these Nike & Costacos Bros. posters. My Pedro Guerrero "Blue Thunder" poster is a most prized possession. Also have Jeff Ruland Bullets poster where he is standing on a deflated basketball after presumably running through brick wall. Rueben Mayes (Saints RB), Joe Cribbs (Sr.), Carlos Carson (KC WR), D. Strawberry in strawberry patch, John Offerdahl, Mark Carrier "Monsters of Midway," Dale Ellis "Rifleman" and Dome Patrol posters. The more obscure, more I loved it as a kid. Lester Hayes "The Judge" poster I'll sell to you for two hundred and twelve thousand dollars, then remember it's pricelessness and chastise you for trying to buy it off me.

Uh yeah, we meant to say "canonical," but couldn't figure out how to spell it. Thanks.

Had a Will "The Thrill" Clark poster. My dad had it framed when he cleaned out my room after I moved out. The poster was Clark hitting the cover off the ball.

I wonder if that person realizes their name can easily be read as "Whore-ads-this".

There was an amazing hideo nomo poster: him furiously throwing a ball with the words "Nomo Mr. Nice Guy"

This sounds just like my car! The whole 8 toes thing would have driven my oldest son crazy probably to the point of hitting his brother because he can somehow justify the fact that because someone is arguing with him he has the right to knock them out! I hope the drive is better for you next week:)
