Shaq Gets Pranked on Inside the NBA

The crew at TNT's Inside the NBA played a prank on their newest on-air personality, Shaquille O'Neal. We love that the former NBA superstar is so big they have to drop a tree on him. His reaction? "That's messed up."

Week 17 NFL Preview

It’s the final push for NFL teams as the regular season ends on Sunday, January 1. All 16 games in Week 17 are division contests.

With one week to go, there are still 16 teams in contention for a trip to Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.

And for the 16th consecutive year, at least five teams will qualify for the playoffs that were not in the postseason the year before. San Francisco, Houston and Detroit are already in. Joining those clubs will be the NFC East winner (New York Giants/Dallas) and the AFC West champion (Denver/Oakland). And a sixth club could potentially come from the AFC’s last remaining Wild Card spot (Cincinnati/Oakland/Tennessee).

Green Bay's Tight Ends Christmas Card is Awesome

We love it when pro athletes don't take themselves too seriously. So obviously we love this Christmas card, complete with cheesy holiday sweaters, from the tight ends of the Green Bay Packers.

"I think we originally set out to mess with our position coach, Ben McAdoo," said D.J. Williams. "Then it turned in to a really good Christmas card and we decided to share the Christmas spirit."

Sending you Holiday Hugs are: (left to right): Williams, Tom Crabtree, Jermichael Finley, Andrew Quarless and Ryan Taylor.

12 Days of Crappy NFL Christmas Gifts

It happens every Christmas for sports fans. We gather around the tree and exchange presents with parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and distant cousins we haven't seen all year. They have no clue what to buy us, but in the distant recesses of their mind, they remember one thing—HE REALLY LIKES (insert favorite team name). The result? Absolute crap with a team logo on it. Here are 12 actual gifts that some poor NFL fan will get this year.

1. Carolina Panthers Slippers—These should come with a sign that says, "Please don't have sex with me." On second thought, you won't need that sign.

Any Given Sunday 2011 (GRAPHIC)

With the Packers loss and the Colts win this Sunday, this year's graphic is now complete. Once again, proof positive that, on any given Sunday, any team can be beaten in the NFL.

7 Awesome Stats from NFL Week 15

Week 15 of the NFL season has nearly come and gone. Let's look back at 7 feats of statistical awesomeness.

1. New Orleans QB DREW BREES completed 32 of 40 passes (80 percent) for 412 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions in the Saints’ 42-20 win at Minnesota. Brees is the first quarterback in NFL history to complete 80+ percent of his passes and throw for at least 400 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions in a game.

Brees has 11 300-yard passing games in 2011, the most in a single season all-time. He entered today tied for the most 300-yard passing games in a season (RICH GANNON, 2002 and Brees, 2008).

For the season, Brees has 4,780 passing yards and joins PEYTON MANNING as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to pass for at least 4,500 yards in three different seasons.

SNL Takes on Tebow (VIDEO)

Saturday Night Live took a poke at Tim Tebow last night during a skit where Jesus asks the Broncos QB to "take it down a notch."

Mic'd Up Tim Tebow May Be Nicest Human Ever

Tim Tebow was mic'd up during his recent game against the Bears. Just how nice is Tebow? Well, after singing gospel songs during warm ups he makes small talk with Bears' players and even congratulates several during the game for tackling him. When his receivers drop an easy catch, he doesn't yell, he cheers them up. Not. Kidding.

How To Stack Beer Bottles on Your Passed Out Buddy's Head at a Football Game

This is what sets guys apart from women. If a guy's buddy gets drunk and passes out at a football game, he doesn't angry or embarrassed. Instead he seizes on this amazing opportunity to challenge himself by, say, stacking beer bottles and funny cones on his head to the delight and amazement of the crowd. Fortunately, this activity was actually captured during last weekend's Vikings vs. Lions game. God bless America.

7 Awesome Stats from NFL Week 14

Week 14 of the NFL season has nearly come and gone. Let's look back at 7 feats of statistical awesomeness.

1. The GREEN BAY PACKERS improved to 13-0 with a 46-16 win over Oakland. The Packers, who are the second defending Super Bowl champion (1998 Denver) to start the following season 13-0, have won 19 consecutive games, including the playoffs. That is the second-longest winning streak in NFL history, trailing the 2003-04 New England Patriots (21 games). With the win, the Packers clinched a first-round bye.

The Packers’ 46 points give them a total of 466 for the season. That is the most in franchise history (461 in 2009).

Green Bay quarterback AARON RODGERS passed for 281 yards and two touchdowns. He has thrown for at least two touchdowns in 13 consecutive games, tied for the longest streak in NFL history with DON MEREDITH (1965-66), PEYTON MANNING (2004) and TOM BRADY (2010-11). Rodgers has 39 touchdown passes, tied with BRETT FAVRE (1996) for the franchise’s single-season mark.

Tim Tebow Inspires A New Food

Broncos QB Tim Tebow has inspired one restaurant to offer a special menu item—the Tebow-ritto.

FAIL: Punt Returner Forgets to Take a Knee

This brain fart almost pains us to watch. Almost. After a Northern Iowa kickoff, Wofford punt returner Stephon Shelton forgets to take a knee in the end zone, which keeps the play live. Of course, a Northern Iowa defender strip the ball and immediately scores a TD.

7 Awesome Stats from NFL Week 13

Week 13 of the NFL season has nearly come and gone. Let's look back at 7 feats of statistical awesomeness.

1. Carolina rookie quarterback CAM NEWTON rushed for three touchdowns in the Panthers’ 38-19 win at Tampa Bay. Newton has 13 rushing touchdowns, the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a single season in NFL history. Newton passed STEVE GROGAN, who rushed for 12 TDs in 1976.

Newton also passed for 204 yards with a touchdown and had a 27-yard reception. He is the third player in NFL history – joining running backs LADAINIAN TOMLINSON (September 25, 2005) and RONNIE BROWN (September 21, 2008) – to have at least three rushing touchdowns, a passing touchdown and a reception in a single game.

Aldon Smith's Sack Celebration (or lack thereof) Was Awesome

With all the excessive celebration penalty flags flying in recent games, apparently sack-happy rookie Aldon Smith of the 49ers wanted to be certain he didn't garner one after his 4th Down sack against the Rams QB A.J. Feeley. Instead, he did something pretty awesome. Here's the video below.
