Week 8 of the NFL season has nearly come and gone. Let's look back at 7 feats of statistical awesomeness.

1. Minnesota running back ADRIAN PETERSON rushed for 86 yards and a TD in the Vikings’ 24-21 win at Carolina.  Peterson has rushed for 798 yards and nine touchdowns this season and has at least 750 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in all five of his NFL seasons. He joins Pro Football Hall of Famers JIM BROWN and EMMITT SMITH and LADAINIAN TOMLINSON as the only players in NFL history to rush for at least 750 yards and eight touchdowns in each of his first five seasons.

Mike Napoli's Ankle Must Be Made of Jello (GIF)

Texas Rangers catcher Mike Napoli must be made of Jello. Or at least his ankle must be. Because THIS (look above) doesn't seem possible. Napoli injured it while rounding the bag in the fourth inning of Game 6 of the World Series. A concerned Ron Washington and the trainer came out of the dugout to likely carry him screaming off the field, but Napoli stayed in the game. We kid you not.

Week 7 of the NFL season has nearly come and gone. Let's look back at 7 feats of statistical awesomeness.

1. Green Bay quarterback AARON RODGERS passed for 335 yards with three touchdowns and a 146.5 passer rating in the Packers’ win.  Rodgers is the first player in NFL history with a 110+ passer rating in each of his first seven games to start a season.

The Broncos also became the first team to come-from-behind and win a game after trailing by 15+ points with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter since 1970.

Best/Worst New York Post Sports Headlines of All Time

The New York Post isn't exactly a bastion of journalistic integrity, which they have proven once again with their latest issue featuring a dead Khadafy and his alleged killer in a Yankees cap, proclaiming "Gunman had more hits than A-Rod." Here it is below, along with some of the best (or worst, depending on how you feel about it) sports headlines of all time.

Fight Club: Lions Coach Jim Schwartz Vs. 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh (VIDEO)

We love a good fight. Especially when it's between two head coaches. In this case Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz wasn't particularly happy about the enthusiastic handshake from San Fran 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh. Personally, if it came down to a Fight Club situation, our money is on Harbaugh. Watch and enjoy the video for yourself.

1. The Kansas City Chiefs overcame a 24-7 deficit to defeat Indianapolis 28-24. It marked the seventh time this season that a team trailed by at least 17 points and came back to win the game. That is the most through the first five weeks of any season in NFL history.

That total is the most ever through the first five weeks of a season and already ranks as the fourth-most for a single season (13 in 1986 and 2004; 11 in 2010).

NASCAR 2011 Fantasy Picks: Top Drivers at Kansas Speedway

Who are the top statistical performers at Kansas Speedway going into the Hollywood Casino 400 this weekend?

Well, we know. Here's a quick look at who you should consider for your fantasy NASCAR team at the track.

NASCAR Driver Rides With Blind Man Around Charlotte Speedway

We're not sure if this a look of excitement or total fear on the face of NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace, but the man in the driver's seat, retired sheriff deputy Ronnie Presnell, seems to be enjoying every minute of it. Wallace helped Presnell, who lost his sight in 1998, cross an item off his bucket list by acting as his eyes as Presnell drove around Charlotte Motor Speedway recently. Presnell revved up his restored 1968 Camaro during his blind laps around the speedway.

Minnesota Fan Goes a Little Tattoo Crazy

Wow, how much does this guy like sports in Minnesota? Apparently enough to get the city's sports franchises tattooed on his calf. Thank God he doesn't live in New York, his entire leg would be covered.

7 Awesome Stats from NFL Week 4

Week 4 of the NFL season has nearly come and gone. Let's look back at 7 feats of statistical awesomeness.

1. The Detroit Lions erased a 27-3 second-half deficit to defeat Dallas 34-30. Last week, the Lions trailed 20-0 and rallied to beat Minnesota 26-23 in overtime. Detroit is the first team in NFL history to win consecutive games in which it trailed by at least 20 points in each contest.

In addition to the Lions’ comeback, the San Francisco 49ers rallied from a 23-3 deficit to defeat Philadelphia 24-23. This is the second week in a row that two teams overcame 20+ point deficits (Week 3: Buffalo, 21 points; Detroit, 20 points). It marks the first time in NFL history that two teams have overcome 20+ point deficits in consecutive weeks.

2. Detroit wide receiver CALVIN JOHNSON had eight catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions’ win at Dallas. Johnson is the first player in NFL history to have at least two receiving touchdowns in each of a team’s first four games of a season. Johnson also joined CRIS CARTER as the only players in NFL history to record at least two touchdown receptions in four consecutive games.

Jaguars Field Painting MEGA-Fail (PIC)

OK, we get it. There are lots of numbers on the Jacksonville Jaguars field and two entirely different directions to choose from. How could anyone possibly figure out which way to point the arrows? Right? Uh, right?
