Eli Manning, whose had a crappy last couple games against a Phil defense over Josh Freeman against Detroit? Are you serious?

Eli has had a rough couple of weeks, but it isn't as if Freeman has been lighting it up. Freeman has only passed for 200 yards or more twice in his last 6 games (no 300 yard games) and he hasn't thrown or run for more than 1 TD since week 11. Plus, there is a lot more on the line at home for Eli this week, Philly's defense isn't all it's cracked up to be giving up close to 30 points per game in the last 3 weeks and Eli will have a healthy Hakeem Nicks. We aren't saying Freeman can't do some damage against a mediocre Detroit pass D, but if we had to choose between the 2, we take Eli. Although, you will probably have a tough time getting into the Championship round of your fantasy league starting either one of them unless the rest of your team is stacked.

I am stuck with flacco and palmer as my 2 QBs. I can't trust Palmer to throw TD's unless he is throwing them to DB's for pick 6's, but Flacco goes up against a very good saints secondary. Do you think I should start Flacco or just look for a gem of the week from the free agency pool?

Flacco can be a hit or miss fantasy QB no matter who he is going against, but he typically plays great at home. This game could also easily turn into a shootout through the air which bodes well and while the Saints pass D is solid; they are beatable. Playing in the NFC South, which isn't exactly chalked full of top tier QBs, will make any pass defense look better than they really are. So, anyway, stick with Flacco. We aren't saying he's going to have a monster game, but he is still safer than going with a week 15 sleeper like Kerry Collins. Best of luck.
