WEEK 1 RB RANKINGS

1. Frank Gore(SF)- This guy is a stud and the Cardinals defense is terrible, we expect a huge game from him
2. Brian Westbrook(PHI)- He does it all for the Eagles, and he will do it all to the Packers defense
3. Joseph Addai(IND)- He could be the key to victory for the Colts
4. LaDainian Tomlinson(SD)- Tough match up against a stubborn Bears run D, but L.T. always seems to overcome all obstacles
5. Willie Parker(PIT)- He should dominate a porous Cleveland defense again this year
6. Steven Jackson(STL)- He struggled against this defense last season, but he is ready for pay back
7. Laurence Maroney(NE)- He seems poised to unleash on the Jets run D
8. Shaun Alexander(SEA)- Looks to return to old form against an aging Bucs squad
9. Reggie Bush(NO)- If he gets his touches, and he should, look for big numbers
10. Travis Henry(DEN)- If his knee is 100%, he could run wild against his former team
11. Maurice Jones-Drew(JAC)- Sharing carries with Taylor is the only thing keeping him out of the top 5, great match up against the Titans
12. Willis McGahee(BAL)- Makes his Raven’s debut and the Bengal’s defense better be concerned
13. Deuce McCallister(NO)- He should get more carries than Bush and he will make the most of them against an abysmal run D
14. Ahman Green(HOU)- He should carry the load for Houston which is good news if he’s on your fantasy team
15. Brandon Jacobs(NYG)- This touchdown specialist gets his chance to do it all, time will tell if he can fill the void left by Tiki
16. Ronnie Brown(MIA)- He needs to bounce back from a sub par season, he has the skill to do it
17. Rudi Johnson(CIN)- Not his best match up against a stingy Raven’s D
18. LaMont Jordan(OAK)- With Justin Griffith leading the way and Detroit’s swiss cheese defense, could be a nice day
19. DeShaun Foster(CAR)- Splitting time may limit his carries, but he is the goal line back
20. Larry Johnson(KC)- No training camp and preseason forces Herm Edwards to limit his carries, therefore it’s hard to put him in the top 5 where he belongs
21. Edgerrin James(ARI)- He needs to show he still has it, but it will be difficult with the Card’s O-line
22. Cedric Benson(CHI)- Not a good match up, but with Thomas Jones gone, he will be relied upon heavily
23. Marion Barber(Dal)- Always a threat to score a touchdown, even splitting carries, he gets his
24. Tatum Bell(DET)- Loads of ability and potential may go to waste in Detroit
25. Marshawn Lynch(BUF)- Rookie gets a shot at improved Denver defense, We will find out if he has what it takes this week
26. Adrian Peterson(MIN)- We expect this high profile rookie to be the feature back before year’s end, but not in week 1
27. Brandon Jackson(GB)- Rookie out of Nebraska looks to get the start, may be the best rookie no one knows about
28. Julius Jones(DAL)-In 2 games last season against the Giants, he barely managed 2 ypg. This defense hasn't changed much and neither has Jones
29. Carnell Williams(TB)- Garcia may be able to open things up for him, but we doubt the O-line will help
30. Thomas Jones(NYJ)- Tough match up for a guy coming off an injury, may share the load with Leon Washington in week 1
31. Clinton Portis(WSH)- Even if he’s healthy, Betts will steal some carries, and the Miami run D is solid
32. Fred Taylor(JAC)- He’s starting, but still second fiddle to Jones-Drew
33. Jamal Lewis(CLE)- He should get a ton of carries, but the Steel Curtain will limit his production
34. Chester Taylor(MIN)- He should get the bulk of the carries in week 1, but he better look over his shoulder for Adrian Peterson, plus Atlanta will be playing the run
35. DeAngelo Williams(CAR)- His day all depends on how often he gets the ball, the potential is there
36. Jerious Norwood(ATL)- Better chance of getting into the end zone than Dunn, but Viking rush D will have something to say about that
37. Chris Brown(TEN)- Backing up LenDale White limits his fantasy potential, but we still think he’s better
38. LenDale White(TEN)- He’s the starter, but the second best back on a team that will get thrashed up front this week
39. Ladell Betts(WSH)- He should see action, but he’s still a back up
40. Warrick Dunn(ATL)- After more or less losing his job to Norwood and fact that they are playing a monster run defense, keep your expectations low
41. Leon Washington(NYJ)- Quality back up will get some looks against the Pats
